The Crimson cocktail requires “floating” the Port.

To do this, use the front or back of a spoon. Place the spoon gently on top of the liquid in the glass.

Pour slowly and move the spoon upwards as you pour so that it rests on top.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin (37.5 ml)
  • .5 oz Lemon juice (12.5 ml)
  • .25 oz Grenadine (6.25 ml)
  • 3/4 oz Port (18.75 ml)
  • Ice

Ingredients

  1. Add the gin, lemon juice and grenadine to a shaker with ice and shake. 
  2. Strain into a cocktail glass. 
  3. Float port on top and serve.

Port Negroni cocktail recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Port (25 ml)
  • 1 oz Gin (25 ml)
  • 1 oz Campari (25 ml)
  • Orange zest or peel
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Add a handful of ice to a jug.
  2. Pour the Port, gin and Campari over the ice.
  3. Stir until well chilled.
  4. Strain into an old-fashioned glass over some ice.
  5. Garnish with orange zest/peel.
