It may have started out as a health drink, but Green Chartreuse can also be used to make tasty cocktails.

Green Chartreuse is a herbal liqueur. The exact recipe is a secret but it is made from 130 different herbs and plants, including cinnamon, clove, lemon balm, peppermint and thyme.

It can be drunk neat in shot glasses or used to make mixed drinks and cocktails.

It should be served chilled.

If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use a large jug and spoon to mix the ingredients well before straining into a glass.


  • .75 oz gin
  • .75 oz Green Chartreuse
  • .75 oz Maraschino liqueur
  • .75 oz lime juice
  • Ice


  1. Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Pour in the gin, Chartreuse and Maraschino liqueur, lime juice and shake vigorously.
  3. Strain into a martini glass.
