In this article, you will learn how to make red wine and coca cola.

It is known as Kalimotxo or Calimocho in Spain.

Red wine and Coke ingredients
This recipe requires just two ingredients – you guessed it: Red wine and Coke poured over ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Red wine
Go for a dry, fruity red wine. A dry wine is best because the coke is sweet. Mixing both creates a balanced drink.
Try to avoid using a sweet red wine as it can taste too sweet when combined with the Coke/cola.
Try something Spanish if you can get your hands on it, such as a Rioja.
Other wines that will work well include:
- Merlot
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Malbec
- Zinfandel
Coke
Use your favorite brand of coke or cola.
I recommend keepig it to a classic style of cole. So, not using colas with other flavors added, such as cherry cola etc.

Make it stonger in alcohol
To make this recipe stronger, you can change the ratio from 2:2 to 2:1.
In other words, twice as much wine as coke.
Make it weaker
To create a lower alcohol version, you can use less wine. For example use a 1:3 ratio.
You can also go for a low-alcohol red wine, such as Pinot Noir or Beaujolais (check the alcohol content on the label).
Alternatively, for a zero-alcohol version, use an alcohol-free red wine.
How to serve red wine and Coke

Serve red wine and Coke in a large wine glass or a tall glass, such as a Tom Collins.
That said, as long as the glass is big enough, you can serve it in whatever glass you wish or have available.
